All North Tupsley residents are invited to the Annual General Meeting of the Action Group which takes place on Tuesday 28 Feb at St Paul's Church Hall, from 7pm until 8.30pm.

Light refreshments will be provided and people can join NTAG on the night.

From the meeting, membership of the Association becomes £5 per individual rather than £5 per household.

Clean up after your dog

NTAG are urging local dog owners to clean up after their dogs and help protect children especially from harm.

Dog faeces causes problems from stomach upsets to, in severe cases, blindness, yet it seems a minority of dog owners are continuing to inflict this unpleasant problem on their neighbours.

On behalf of the local community, NTAG would encourage owners to make the effort to clean up after their dogs.

It doesn't cost much in time or effort, but makes a huge difference to everyone who uses our streets. Thank you.

Quarry Park - Grand Opening

Wellies Action Group are delighted to invite you to the Grand Opening of Quarry Park on Sunday 11th December from 1pm to 3:30pm.

The Mayor of Hereford will carry out the official opening ceremony, there will be live music from Bandemonium, a free (while it lasts) hog roast and seasonal refreshments including mince pies and mulled wine! We would be delighted if you could join us to celebrate our wonderful community space, the result of nearly 2 years of hard work.

We also need your help! We now have to prove the success of the park to The Lottery in order to claim our £49,999 grant and have yet more forms to fill in! It would help enormously if you could fill in the short survey here.

Tomorrow (Thursday 1st), the final pieces of furniture will be installed, including a wooden entrance arch, a specially commissioned wooden carving and 3 new bins. Thank you to all or you who have supported us along the way in this project, we very much hope you will be able to join us on the 11th.

NTAG Christmas Tea

Calling all North Tupsley residents to come and celebrate the festive season at the annual NTAG Christmas tea / buffet. This'll be taking place on Tuesday 6th December from 2.00 to 4.00pm at The Rose & Crown on Ledbury Road.

We have begun a links section on our website. First up is Here For the City, a partnership project supporting local Communities throughout Hereford City.

The project is a partnership of Herefordshire Voluntary Action (HVA), Close House and Herefordshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (HCVYS), three active and well established voluntary sector organisations. HVA is the local council for voluntary service; HCVYS advises and supports voluntary youth organisations; and Close House offers a range of youth support services for young people across Hereford.

SCARD

NTAG is pleased to support a fundraising event for the SCARD charity at St Paul's Church Tupsley on November 5th from 2 - 4pm. The afternoon will include refreshments, bric-a-brac, face painting, Christmas crafts, clothes, toys and much more.

SCARD - Support and Care After Road Death and Injury - is a charity with the aim of helping to relieve distress among people who have been bereaved, injured or affected by road death or injury. Angie, who is organising this event, is an NTAG committee member and Tupsley resident who tragically lost her only child in a road accident last year.

SCARD also provide emotional and practical support through a telephone help-line, support groups, meetings and personal support system. They help, assist and (if requested) accompany affected families, individuals and friends to Crown, Magistrates or Coroners Court at what is a traumatic time for all involved.

NTAG invite all local residents to show that they care by coming along and supporting this event.

NTAG Youth

N.TAG'S Youth Club was a real hit with the children of the estate, run by Lorna Wood from the youth service held at the Whitehouse pub weekly. Young children and teenagers all came, they played games and had fun, they also had talk from the local police on drugs and drink, but mainly just to socialise with each other and not just left to roam the streets. On warm evenings Lorna would take them up the field for activities.

NEXT AFTERNOON TEA - an Active at 60 event, to be held at the Rose & Crown Ledbury Road Tuesday 4th October 2.30 till 4pm, pool/darts/cards/wii....plus refreshments. Come along and join in the fun. A warm welcome from N.TAG - Ian the landlord and the Staff at the Rose & Crown. Sunshine & Wyvern radio have been asked to advertise this event,( we did ask our local papers to do the same, but sadly did not make last weeks editions)... it also features in this months addition of THE LITTLE BOOK along with some photos of our community picnic, take 5mins and have a look...

We will take lots of pictures at the afternoon tea, as many residents have commented on the photo gallery.....thanks to Rob for his continued support of N.TAG and updating our web site for us.
