Litter
Fewer pupils allowed out at lunchtimes. This should
help.
Broadlands School
Good relationship with school. Competition held to
design a play area; 73 excellent entries with
prizes given by N-T.A.G.
Dog bins/ rubbish bins
6 new bins requested, but have to be combined
dog/rubbish bins.
Parking
Positive meeting held with Traffic Department,
Cllrs. Lloyd-Hayes and Walling.
Toured estate to see problems for themselves,
i.e. cars parked illegally on corners, paths
and bus stops. A full survey of the area will
be conducted. More news on this will be posted
on our notice-board in the Post Office,
Chilton Square.
Speeding
Police informed. We have also asked for a 20 m.p.h.
limit on Whittern Way so that our children may
cross safely to school.
Anti-social behaviour
According to Police records, A.S.B. reported crime
is down. “Oh no it’s not” might be your cry! Well
that might be because you are not ringing it in.
Please RING Police, and also ask for an Incident
No. Give us the Incident Number and we will follow
it up. Your name will not be given out to anyone by
us or the Police. So don’t sit back and watch – do
something!
Trees
Overhanging tree cut after resident asked for
N-T.A.G’s help.
Nuisance neighbours
Letters written to landlords re students’
accommodation. Also spoken to colleges re behaviour
of students whilst renting.
Parking problems
Firstly, politely ask driver to move. If they are
decent, community-minded people they will move. If
you have a drive-way or garage, please use it. Be
sensitive to parking needs of disabled neighbours.
Use your own space outside your own house.

Prospect Walk/ Piggott Close
Re plans to demolish Terry Ross building and
replace with large car park. N-T.A.G. backed
residents’ objections to car park entrance off
Pigott Close. 1st application withdrawn, 2nd
application objections made. Held meetings with
Council, and letters sent plus suggestion by
N-T.A.G. of alternative entrance. No outcome as
yet. Residents, let us know if you hear anything!
Heywood Avenue
A resident asked for help from N-T.A.G. re
pot-holes. Contacted appropriate authority and now
a full survey is to be undertaken.
Chilton Square
1st and 2nd application objections made by N-T.A.G.
re more flats.
Fundraising
Easter Raffle raised £100.00.
Thanks to all who bought a ticket from the Post
Office.
The Summer Extravaganza raised £300.00 made from a good day. Kids enjoyed the face-painting and the hoses on the fire engine! Thanks to the residents who supported us with donations for the table-sales, and those who came along for a very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to all our helpers, particularly C.S.O. Leanne Marwick and colleague for the face-painting, the B.B.Q. staff for a great job, and Jane and Simon for allowing us to use the White House pub for our first Fun Day!

Drop in days
These are the first Tuesday of every month from
12noon - 2pm and again from 7pm - 9pm.
Community Meetings
Monday 3rd September and Monday 3rd December, both
at the White House, 7 - 9pm.
Purple/ white recycling bags
Collect from Post Office, Chilton Square. We must
all try to recycle more. Get into the habit now
before any charges come in.
How you can help
Join N-T.A.G. for a donation of £5. We also need
volunteers to deliver leaflets (free of charge).
